Lake County EMA will be hosting the ICS 300 & 400 courses at the Lake County EOC in January. If you have staff that are newer members to your team that would fill a position in the EOC, staff who need a refresher, or you need a refresher, this course is for you. The 300 course needs to be taken first, followed by the 400 course. The courses are taught by local instructors, incorporate real- world examples by key partners and personnel for local responses and experiences, and will have a mix disciple of students to provide a better understanding of how the incident command structure operates for expanding incidents.
The course dates and descriptions are as follows:
ICS 300, Intermediate Incident Command Structure (ICS) for Expanding Incidents, January 13, 14, and 15, 2025 (3 days) 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. YOU NEED TO BE PHSYCIALLY PRESENT TO ALL THREE DAYS OF THE 300 COURSE AND BOTH DAYS OF THE 400 COURSE TO RECEIVE FULL CREDIT FOR THE COURSES.
This course provides training on and resources for overall incident management skills for personnel who require the intermediate application of the Incident Management System. This course will outline how the National Incident Management System Command & Coordination component supports the management of expanding incidents, as well as describe the incident management processes as prescribed by ICS.
