Permitting in the Floodplain –  A review of the state and local process

Overview: This course provides basics for the state and local floodplain permit requirements. It covers floodplain mapping and gives an overview of the requirements to receive both a state and local floodplain development permit. Training covers a review of the differences in State jurisdiction and regulations and the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) requirements that are implemented at the local level through the community’s floodplain development ordinances.
